Galadiman Muri Turbans Ziyaulhaq as Adon Garin Jalingo


 

The Galadiman MuriAlhaji Dr. Lamido Abba Tukur, has turbaned Alhaji Ziyaulhaq Abubakar as the AdonGarin Jalingo at a ceremony held at his residence in Jalingo, Taraba State.

 

In his welcome address, the Walin Lau, AlhajiAhmadu Waziri, described the Galadiman Muri as a leader known for integrity and unity, noting that his leadership continues to promote peaceful coexistence among people of different backgrounds.

 

He said the conferment of the title reflects the traditional institution's commitment to recognisingindividuals who contribute meaningfully to the growth and stability of society.

 

In his remarks, the Galadiman MuriAlhaji Dr. Lamido Abba Tukur, called on the people of MuriEmirate to remain united, stressing the importance of harmony and collective progress.

 

He urged the people to avoid division and see themselves as one, noting that unity remains the foundation for development in the emirate.

 

The Galadima described Alhaji Ziyaulhaq Abubakaras a man of good character and honour, stating that the title was conferred on him in recognition of his contributions and exemplary conduct. He urged him to sustain his good works and prayed for greater success in his life.

 

In his response, Alhaji Ziyaulhaq Abubakar thanked the Galadiman Muri for the honour, promising to uphold the values of the title and continue contributing positively to society.

 

He also offered prayers for peace, unity and progress in the Muri Emirate.

 

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Jalingo Local Government Area, Hon. Ja'afar Yarima, and the Sarkin Yakin Sarkin Dawakin MuriAlhaji Hamza Jaji, commended the Galadiman Muri for promoting unity and development in the area.

 

They also prayed for good health and long life for the Emir of Muri, Abbas Njidda Tafida.

 

The event featured traditional displays and ended with a reception attended by traditional leaders, elders, family members and friends who gathered to celebrate the new Adon Garin Jalingo.
