Chief of Gassol Urges Gov Kefas to Complete Gassol–Yerima Road The Chief of Gassol, Alhaji Yakubu Ciroma, has appealed to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to complete the abandoned Gassol–Yerima road project. Ciroma made the appeal on Friday in his Sallah message marking the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Gassol, Gassol Local Government Area of the state. He described the road as a critical link between Taraba and Plateau states, lamenting its poor condition despite heavy usage by commuters. The traditional ruler noted that the completion of the road would significantly boost economic activities in the area. “I appeal to the governor to intervene and ensure the completion of the Gassol–Yerima road project, which has been abandoned. Ciroma also urged residents of the chiefdom to continue to live in peace and harmony, irrespective of religious and ethnic differences.

He prayed for the forgiveness of sins for his people, especially those who died during the Ramadan period, asking Allah to grant them Aljannah.

The monarch further prayed for God's blessings, good health and long life for his subjects, particularly those contributing to the development of the area.
