Kona Community Stakeholders Present Concerns to Jalingo LG Boss

Stakeholders from Kona community have paid a special visit to the Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Area, Honourable Nura Dantsoho, to congratulate him on his leadership and present the pressing concerns of residents of Kona Ward. The meeting was held at the Jalingo Local Government Secretariat.

The visit centered on issues of fairness, representation, and improved opportunities for Kona Ward residents within the administrative structure of the local government.

Speaking on behalf of the Kona Community Stakeholders, Honourable Shuaibu Ataka Shaukani congratulated Chairman Dantsoho and expressed confidence in his leadership. He highlighted key demands from the ward, urging that they be addressed with justice and transparency. Shaukani emphasized the need for full support from the chairman on Kona Ward's local government agitation and decried the ward's inadequate representation among major stakeholders in Jalingo LGA.

He also raised concerns about inequitable employment opportunities for Kona residents and called for urgent reforms under the new administration to ensure fairness and inclusivity.

In response, Chairman Nura Dantsoho assured the delegation that their concerns had been received at the right time, noting that they align with his administration's vision for broader development across the local government. He reaffirmed that his leadership would be grounded in fairness and inclusiveness, ensuring that no section of the local government is marginalized, particularly in employment and developmental projects.

Dantsoho emphasized that his administration stands for justice, mutual understanding, unity, and equitable treatment of all communities within Jalingo LGA. He concluded by promising to review and address all concerns raised by residents of Kona Ward and the wider community, while calling for continued unity and cooperation as a foundation for sustainable development.
