Haske Baptist Church Celebrates Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Tula’s Retirement and Honours


The Haske Baptist Church in Garin Dovo recently held a grand thanksgiving service to celebrate the retirement of Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Tula, JP, marking thirty-five years of dedicated ministry. The occasion also honoured his birthday and the conferment of two Honorary Doctorate degrees.

Dr. Tula, visibly joyful during the ceremony, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the blessings, challenges, and achievements he has experienced throughout his years of service. He also thanked his congregation and the institutions that recognised his contributions with the prestigious honours.

The Honorary Doctorates were awarded by Daystar Theological Seminary, affiliated with Star University, and Oral Roberts University, in recognition of Dr. Tula's outstanding contributions to faith development and community service.

The thanksgiving service attracted numerous dignitaries and church members, who lauded Dr. Tula as a disciplined leader and a man of excellence. The celebration featured lively traditional music, dancing, and cultural performances, creating a festive atmosphere. A special feast was also held to honour his years of faithful service.

The event served as a powerful testimony to the enduring legacy of Reverend Dr. Samuel W. Tula, JP, and the significant impact of his ministry on both the church and the wider community.
