APC Gembu Ward Welcomes Former PDP Chairman Abubakar Bawa in Grand Reception

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gembu Ward B on Friday received former Taraba State PDP Chairman, AlhajiAbubakar Bawa, who recently resigned from the PeoplesDemocratic Party and formally declared his alignment with the APC.

The reception, described as historic by party leaders, drew key political figures, including the Executive Chairman of SardaunaLocal Government Area, Hon. M. J. Umar, who joined other stakeholders to welcome Bawa into the party.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Umar expressed appreciation to Governor Agbu Kefas for the opportunity to serve in his administration and commended the governor's developmental strides across Sardauna LGA. He said the ongoing political realignments in the state are aimed at deepening development and strengthening collaboration with the Federal Government.

"The people of Sardauna have already begun to feel the impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration through the multi-billion-naira projects on the Mambilla Plateau," he said. "With this transition, more development will come to our land."

In his remarks, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa praised Governor AgbuKefas for fostering unity, stability and progress in the state. He said his decision to join the APC aligns with the governor's political direction and the need to move Taraba forward.

"His Excellency has done so much to promote unity and development in Taraba State. Wherever our Governor stands, we are ready to stand with him," Bawa declared.

Earlier, Divisional APC Chairman Alhaji Sanda Umar described Bawa's entry as a major boost for the party, calling the event a milestone for APC in Sardauna. He urged party members to embrace the new entrants and work together for the success of the party.

"Those joining us today are officially welcomed. They now have the right to vote and be voted for," he affirmed.

Party elders and stakeholders also welcomed the new members, assuring them of full integration and a harmonious stay within the APC as the party intensifies efforts to strengthen its base in Taraba State.
