Hon. Hajiya Maimuna Yakubu Welcomes Gov. Kefas to APC, Says Move Is in Taraba’s Best Interest


Former APC Zonal Chairperson for Taraba Southern Zone and Special Assistant to Governor Agbu Kefas, Hon. HajiyaMaimuna Yakubu, has welcomed the Governor's decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a step taken in the overall interest of Tarabans.

In a statement on Thursday, Hajiya Maimuna expressed optimism that Governor Kefas' alignment with the ruling party at the federal level would boost development opportunities for the state.

"It is with great pleasure and warm regard that I extend this welcome to you as you join the All Progressives Congress," she said. "Your decision to align with APC at this pivotal time in our nation's democratic journey is both commendable and deeply appreciated."

She praised Governor Kefas' leadership style, noting that his dedication, courage and commitment to the well-being of Tarabans align with the core principles of the APC, which she described as rooted in transparency, inclusive governance and sustainable development.

"We are confident that your experience, vision and influence will further strengthen our collective efforts toward building a more prosperous and united Nigeria," she added.

Hajiya Maimuna assured the governor of her full support, stressing that his political realignment would enhance development initiatives and foster harmony across the state's political landscape.

"At this moment, aligning with the Federal Government to attract more developmental projects is far above any other interest," she stated.

She concluded by reaffirming her solidarity with the governor: "Once again, Your Excellency, welcome to the All Progressives Congress. May your journey with us be fruitful, impactful and rewarding for both your leadership and the people of Taraba State you serve."
