Prof. Jerome Nyameh Will Add Political Value to ADC — Support Group
The People's Movement Support Group has called on former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Professor Jerome Nyameh, to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the party as a credible platform capable of amplifying his political vision and offering Tarabansa viable alternative.
In a statement signed by Abdul Usman Gassol, the group urged Nyameh to consider the ADC as his next political base following his resignation from the PDP on July 21, 2025. They noted that his exit came at a time when the PDP was facing what they described as a "national internal crisis."
The group praised the professor's political relevance and recalled his strong performance as runner-up in the 2022 PDP governorship primary—an outcome they said reflected his "widespread acceptability, influence, and leadership capacity."
According to the group, Nyameh's academic achievements, integrity, and dedication to public service have earned him respect across political divides, making him one of Taraba's most credible political actors.
They argued that the ADC represents a political path aligned with Nyameh's ideals of fairness, good governance, and sustainable development. His deep understanding of Taraba's socio-economic realities, they said, positions him as a strategic asset capable of strengthening the party and shaping it into a competitive opposition force.
"Your entry into the ADC would not only elevate the party's profile but also offer the people of Taraba State a dependable, competent, and visionary leader capable of championing the positive change they yearn for," the statement read.
The group called on Professor Nyameh to accept the invitation and deploy his experience, credibility, and goodwill toward building "a new political order" anchored on development, accountability, and the collective progress of Taraba State.
