Taraba Mulls Renovation Of Vocational Centers

The Commissioner for Science and Technology in Taraba State, Hon Muslim Usman Abdullahi said  plans are underway to renovate some Vocational Centers in the state.

 

The Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Usman Abdullahi disclosed this at Junior Secondary and Vocational School Jalingo, during his ongoing tour of some Science and Technology related Institutions in the state to seek collaborations and partnership.

 

The Commissioner stated that the Ministry of Science and Technology is considering many ways through which it could standardise educational centers that will house self-motivated, talented individuals who are highly aware of the inconsistencies of the world they live and are willing to learn and provide solutions to world design problems in an imaginative, creative, and highly aesthetic level by employing skills, tools and programs necessary.

 

He noted that when the Vocational Centers are renovated and brought back to standard and appreciable operations, they would provide opportunities for the upcoming generation to be self-reliant as well as employers of labour.

 

"I want to assure you that the Government of Taraba State under the able leadership of our compassionate governor, His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas, is doing everything humanly possible to see that everybody in the state is educated.

 

"The governor wants to lift the state to an enviable level in the comity of other states in the country. It is in line with this movement that our Ministry is looking at renovating some Vocational Centers in the state to make them comfortable places where our teaming youths will engage in acquisition and application of Science and Technology Innovations". He stated.

Recall that since assumption of office, Hon Muslim Usman Abdullahi has been touring Taraba State Capital to survey the Ministry's environment. He had been to several Organizations and Institutions including Taraba State University Jalingo and Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development Institute (AMTDI) Jalingo, among many other organisations and institutions to seek for collaboration and partnership on Science and Technology related activities.
