‘Children Kidnappers On the Prowl In Jalingo’- Local Security Source Warns

·         Says 42 Kidnapped in Three Months

 Concerns are mounting over raising cases of missing children with local security sources saying over 42 persons have been reported missing in Jalingo, Taraba State capital in the last three months, warning that kidnappers targeting children are on the prowl.

 Taraba Truth and Facts gathered that most of the victims who are between the ages of 3 and 10 years are said to have gone missing with only few latter found dead .

 According to report as obtained by Taraba Truth and Facts, most of those missing are little children who were sent on errands or disappear while playing around their vicinities.

 As at time of this report parents and relatives of the missing persons said their loved ones are yet to be found and whereabouts still remain unknown.

 

Taraba Truth and Facts Newspaper gathered that most cases of missing persons happens in the night, or day time, especially around ATC, Magami, Sabon Gari, New CBN Bye Pass and other isolated areas around Jalingo.

 

Local security said a three year old Mary Christopher was reported missing from her home at Magami Jalingo, and was letter found dead in a bush within Jalingo.

The culprit, who was a neighbor to Mercy's parents, killed Mercy and removed her head and other vital organs.

 

Also, a 14 year old wheelbarrow pusher, Arfat Abubakar Mohammed, was also abducted at the Jalingo central market, was later discovered, but has lost his sense of reasoning which affected his articulation and composure.

 

Local security sources said at least up to five people are usually reported missing within the state capital weekly warning parents to pay special attention on their wards.
