he General Overseer of Arrow of Deliverance Ministries, Pastor Joseph Nwunuji, came under heavy criticism and backlash following his acclaimed prophecy about the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The cleric's prophecy on the 4th of September, at the church auditorium in Jalingo during service trailed mix reactions from supporters and loyalists of various gubernatorial candidates, who took to social media call out the Pastor.
While others see the prophecy as a message from God, others see it as fake and a way of creating confusion in the political scene of the State ahead of the general elections.
In his prophecy, Pastor Nwunuji was quoted to have said "the next governor of the state will not emerge from southern Taraba unless the people of Taraba State are ready to face unending hardships".
The cleric whose prophecy on Hon. Danladi Baido in 2007 came to pass, is now being celebrated by supporters of Baido who is contesting for Governor under the Social Democratic Party SDP. Baido hails from Northern zone of the state.
However loyalists of All Progressive Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha tagged the cleric fake on various social media platforms when reacting to his prophecy,
Senator Bwacha's official photographer, Disebe S Bala Donga, accused the pastor of lies and fake prophecies noting that the pastor was bribed to make false statements regarding the forthcoming 2023 gubernatorial elections.
In his words, "Nonsense, you will suffer from the pains God's willing cause you are speaking out of greed and money given to you. You are useless, how many of your revelations have come to pass".
Another Bwacha's boy, Mr Rekwense Muri also accused the man of God of being deceitful and inaccurate in all his supposed prophecies.
He noted that the Pastor is bound on causing confusion among the people of Taraba. In his post as published on social media and quote,
"In 2015, he prophesied that Goodluck Jonathan was going to defeat Buhari. The prophesy failed, we kept quiet"
"He also called someone and told him that he will be Governor in Taraba State, the person didn't even emerge as Candidate of any political party. He said Buhari will die before This transition"
"Again he said a prominent politician from Donga was going to die, it didn't happen. He sent for the politician to come for prayers the man refused. The politician is still there in the state contesting his same office after loosing out in a higher contest. This is end time, and at the fullness of time this one also will fail because God is not the author of confusion"
Meanwhile supporters of PDP governorship candidate Col Kefas Agbu said they will on their part continue to have faith in God in the actualization of their principal's ambition.
"We heard about the prophecy and we are praying for victory for Kefas Agbu, we have a strong faith in God Almighty, you will agree that God uses the foolish thing of the world to confuse the mighty, we respect Pastor Joseph Nwunuji as a great servant in the vineyard. On our part, we are convinced that God is on Kefas Agbu's side and we will be victorious."
Pastor Nwunuji had earlier this year stated that he didn't see the governor of Taraba State coming from the South, urging people to pray because he sees confusion in the region.
