Taraba CP Tour to Kashimbila, Ibi, Wukari LGAs
The Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, CP Moorkwap Sebastian Dongshal psc (+), has continued his ongoing familiarisation and inspection tour across parts of the state to strengthen security architecture and enhance operational effectiveness.
During the tour, the CP visited the Kashimbila Dam for an inspection and site-seeing exercise, where he was conducted round the facility by the Project Manager. He commended the importance of the facility to national development and emphasised the need for sustained security around critical national assets.
CP Dongshal proceeded to Ibi Local Government Area, where he paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Council and later visited the Divisional Police Headquarters to interact with officers and men. He held discussions with stakeholders on practical measures towards achieving a safer society through community participation, intelligence sharing, and proactive policing.
Thereafter, the Commissioner proceeded to Wukari Local Government Area, where he paid courtesy visits to the Council Chairman and His Royal Highness, Manu Ishaku Ada Ali Matakhitswen, the Aku Uka of Wukari.
During the royal visit, CP Dongshal expressed appreciation to the traditional ruler for his continuous support and cooperation in maintaining peace and security in the area.
The CP subsequently visited the Wukari Divisional Police Headquarters, where he interacted with officers and men and charged them to remain professional, patriotic, disciplined, and committed to their constitutional duties. He reminded personnel of the importance of integrity, respect for human rights, and effective community engagement in fighting crime.
The Taraba State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property while working closely with traditional rulers, government authorities, and the public to sustain peace and order across the state.
