Youth in Jalingo Inspired at Mindset Programme by Visionary World
Young people in Jalingo were encouraged to take charge of their future as they participated in a mindset development programme organised by Visionary World.
The event, held on Tuesday at SIT Technologies, Blueray Plaza, brought together students and teenagers for a session focused on personal growth, discipline and purpose.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical exercises aimed at addressing negative thinking patterns and promoting a more focused approach to life and academics.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of Visionary World, Rita Thomas Yerima, stressed the importance of building the right mindset early in life.
She said success begins with how individuals think and respond to challenges, urging participants to remain positive and intentional about their goals.
Also speaking, Paul Philip Johnson, a Risk and Compliance Advisor with the U.S. Army, highlighted the role of healthy living in achieving success.
He identified regular sleep, exercise, balanced diet and proper hydration as key factors, encouraging the students to remain consistent in their personal development.
Some of the participants described the programmeas impactful, saying it gave them renewed motivation and clearer direction about their future.
Organisers of the event expressed satisfaction with the turnout and level of engagement, noting that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to empower young people in the state.
