David Fuoh May Dump APC

The race for the GashakaKurmi, and Sardauna Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched contests in Taraba State, as two high-profile politicians position themselves for the fight.

Hon. David Abel Fuoh, the incumbent representative under the APC, is reportedly exploring alternative political platforms after indications emerged that he might not secure the party's ticket, Taraba Truth and Facts newspaper gathered.

Sources say Fuoh is considering joining the Nyesom Wikefaction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), though some loyalists are also looking at moving to a new party to preserve his political ambition and avoid being caught in intra-party litigations that could affect his chances at the polls.

During the recent Eid holidays, Fuoh held closed-door meetings with key supporters across the constituency, reviewing the political landscape and strategizing for the next election. Sources revealed that he confidently told his aides he could win the seat without relying on the support of Governor Agbu Kefas, signaling his intent to focus on grassroots mobilization and local alliances.

Fuoh's political movement has reportedly attracted influential figures in the constituency, including Mandelan Talakawa, Elder Ismaila Dewa, and other respected community leaders—demonstrating growing confidence among key stakeholders in his leadership and vision for the GashakaKurmi, and SardaunaFederal Constituency.
