The appointment, announced earlier this week, has been described as well-deserved recognition of Senator Marafa'sdedication, integrity, and vast experience in public service.

In a congratulatory message, Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Council, Hon. M. J. Umar, lauded President Tinubufor finding Senator Marafa worthy of the national assignment, describing him as a "seasoned politician and administrator with an unwavering passion for national development."

Hon. Umar noted that Senator Marafa's long years of service in the National Assembly and other public offices have equipped him with the knowledge and experience needed to contribute effectively to the RMAFC's mandate.

He prayed for God's wisdom and guidance for the newly appointed Commissioner, expressing confidence that his tenure would bring pride to Taraba State and further strengthen the Commission's operations.

Also reacting, Sanusi Mohammed Galadima Nguroje, a House of Representatives aspirant for the GashakaSardaunaKurmiFederal Constituency, described the appointment as "a round peg in a round hole."

He said Senator Marafa's appointment reflects the confidence reposed in him by the President, citing his proven competence, integrity, and commitment to national service.

"Senator Marafa's legislative experience and contributions to Taraba's development make this appointment both fitting and timely," Sanusi said. "We are confident he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in strengthening revenue mobilization and fiscal management at the national level."

He also prayed for God's guidance and wisdom for Senator Marafa as he undertakes the new responsibility, expressing optimism that his appointment would further enhance Taraba's representation in national affairs.

Political observers have described Senator Marafa's appointment as a boost for the state, noting that it underscores the Federal Government's confidence in Taraba's capacity to contribute to national governance.
