Taraba Deputy Governor Makes Public Appearance After Medical Absence
The Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, on Monday made his first public appearance in Jalingo after being away for an extended period on medical treatment.
Alkali was received by Governor Agbu Kefas at the T.Y. Danjuma House in Jalingo, where the two leaders exchanged pleasantries before a gathering of government officials, political associates, and supporters.
His appearance confirmed Taraba Truth and Facts newspaper earlier report of his quiet return to Jalingo as his health condition improved. The development has been greeted with excitement among party members and residents who had expressed concerns over his long absence.
Governor Kefas expressed joy at welcoming his deputy back to official engagements, describing the moment as a sign of renewed strength and unity in the leadership of the state.
Political observers say Alkali's return is expected to further strengthen governance in Taraba State, as he gradually resumes his constitutional duties alongside Governor Kefas.
