I Won APC Primary Election In Taraba South - David Jimkuta Ask Court To Declare Him APC Candidate

• Challenges Wrongful Substitution

An Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress APC for Taraba South Senatorial District Hon David S.U Jimkuta has asked a Federal High Court in Jalingo to declare him as the candidate of the party saying he won the party's primary election with 170 votes.

Hon David S.U Jimkuta who is challenging the wrongful substitution of his name by the APC as the bona fide Senatorial Candidate for Taraba South Senatorial District noted that the committee which the party sent to conduct the primaries duly declared him as the winner and submitted his name to the Party headquarters.

In the originating summons filed at the Federal High Court Jalingo, Hon Jimkuta is claiming he won the APC Primary Elections in Taraba South Senatorial District by polling the highest number of votes cast which is 170 as against his opponent's 80 votes.

He is therefore praying the court to declare him the winner of the primaries and stop the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC from recognising Hon Danjuma Shiddi, who came a distant second, as the APC Senatorial candidate for the Taraba South.
