APC LG Congress: Bwacha’s Men, Danji SS Launch Fresh Move to Hijack Party in Southern Taraba

Some concern members of the All Progressives Congress APC in Southern Taraba has alarmed over fresh plot by some members of the party allegedly working for PDP's Senator Emmanuel Bwacha to hijack its forthcoming Local Government Congress in the zone.

The concern members said the plan is coming after they were defeated at the APC Ward congress held recently, "The PDP Senator who is trying to hijack the APC from outside  has launched another move to install APC Executives at the Local Government level," urging genuine members of the APC to be weary of their plot.  

 A member of the APC in Wukari Local Government Bako Angyu who spoke to Taraba Truth and Facts Newspaper accused Member Representing Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency Hon Danjuma Shiddi Usman Danji SS of working with some PDP Members to

"Danji SS haven lost at the ward level was full persuaded by the leader of the APC in Taraba State, Senator Yusuf A Yusuf to work with other stakeholders in Southern zone in the local government congress but the lawmaker went ahead in collaboration with Bwacha's men to buy nomination forms for their loyalists whom are largely PDP members. The APC stakeholders have agreed on consensus ahead of the LG congress.

"But the likes of Hon Mark Useni, Hon Bauten, Hon Ekah met with Danji SS again to buy forms for their loyalists and contest against the consensus agreement of majority of the party's stakeholders in the zone. They  are already shopping for names of their loyalists across the six local governments in Southern zone to be given forms."  

 

Another APC member in Takum Kefas Bala said members of the party have resolved to stand with the stakeholders of the party in the zone.

 "What is happening now is similar to what happened during our Ward Congress, again we suspecting Senator Bwacha of using Danji SS to hijack the party structure at the local government level, now they have started giving LG forms to known members of the PDP to contest for Local Government executives of the APC, we won't allow known members of PDP to hijack our party. Our stakeholders in Southern zone have agreed for consensus and they bought forms for the party officials at the local government collectively anything contrary to this won't stand.  

"We are calling on the PDP to watch out for their members who will be participating in the APC Local Government  Congress, the PDP should be weary of its members who are hell bent of belonging to both parties to cause confusion."

A chieftain of the PDP in Southern Zone said the party would discipline any of its members found to be participating in any anti-party activities.

"The PDP is govern by law and we have stipulated rules regarding anti-party activities. Any of our members caught doing anti party would be severally dealt with. I want to restate our call to PDP members in Southern Zone to remain loyal to the PDP, they should not be deceived by any politician to go against the party," the PDP chieftain who pleaded anonymity said.
