The election, which attracted Mumuye youths from various parts of the state, provided an opportunity for members of the youth body to participate in the leadership process and elect new executives to steer its affairs.

In his acceptance remarks shortly after his election, Pastor Bitonupha called on Mumuye youths across Taraba State to unite and put aside personal and sectional differences in the interest of the community.

“I am calling on all Mumuye youths to come together and work with me. With unity and our collective effort, I am very sure that things will work out right for us,” he said.

The new chairman also pledged to provide inclusive leadership and ensure that the concerns, ideas and aspirations of Mumuyeyouths receive adequate attention.

He urged the youths to see the new administration as a platform for constructive engagement, collaboration and greater participation in issues affecting their welfare and development.

Pastor Bitonupha further appealed to Mumuye youths to support initiatives aimed at promoting education, empowerment, peace, cultural identity and socio-economic development within the community.

Meanwhile, other officials elected alongside the chairman are: Adamu Lawan, Vice Chairman; Jacob Voto Kefas, Secretary General; Philip Dan’Azumi, Assistant Secretary; Markus Obasanjo Mazankwanti, Treasurer; Elisha Denis Shavoro, Financial Secretary; John Joseph Bulus, Organizing Secretary; Santi Bulus, Public Relations Officer I; and Augustine Paul, Public Relations Officer II.

The election is expected to usher in a new phase in Mumuyeyouth leadership in Taraba State, with members expressing hopes for stronger unity, effective representation and increased youth participation in community development.
