Bishop John Pena Auta Appointed Coordinating Bishop of Global Methodist Church in Nigeria

‎Bishop John Pena Auta has been appointed the Coordinating Bishop of the Global Methodist Church (GMC) in Nigeria.

‎The appointment was made unanimously by the Assembly of Bishops of the Global Methodist Church at the just-concluded General Conference of the denomination held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.

‎Bishop Auta’s unanimous appointment is widely seen as a significant recognition of his leadership, commitment to the Christian faith, and contributions to the growth and development of the Global Methodist Church in Nigeria and beyond.

‎As Coordinating Bishop, he is expected to provide spiritual and administrative leadership in coordinating the activities of the Global Methodist Church across Nigeria, while strengthening unity, holiness, mission, and the church’s commitment to serving communities.

‎The appointment also places Bishop Auta at a pivotal moment in the development of the GMC in Nigeria, as the church continues to expand its presence and pursue its mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ and spreading scriptural holiness.
