Jalingo — A frontline aspirant, Hon. Ramatu Umar Muhammed, has formally declared her intention to contest for the Karim Lamido II State Constituency seat in the Taraba State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Her declaration came shortly after she obtained the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms in Jalingo, signaling her entry into the race ahead of the party primaries.

Addressing supporters, Hon. Ramatu Umar Muhammed described her ambition as a call to service driven by a deep commitment to the progress and development of Karim Lamido II Constituency.

“It is my singular honour and privilege to officially present myself as an aspirant vying for the seat of Member representing our dear constituency, Karim Lamido II,” she said.

She emphasized that her decision goes beyond personal ambition, noting that it is anchored on a clear vision for inclusive growth and improved representation.

According to her, if given the mandate, she would champion policies aimed at youth empowerment, strengthening the education sector, and ensuring that governance delivers tangible benefits to the people.

Hon. Muhammed also pledged to provide transparent, inclusive, and result-oriented leadership, promising to bring fresh ideas and renewed energy into the legislative process.

“I am ready to serve, I am ready to lead, and together with your support, we will build a brighter future for our constituency,” she added.

Her entry into the race adds to the growing list of aspirants seeking elective positions under the APC in Taraba State as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
