The Taraba State Commissioner for Commerce, Trade, and Industry, Hon. Peter George, has donated ₦1,000,000 to Miss Believe Moses Christopher, a young woman from Sardauna Local Government Area who is battling skin cancer.

Miss Christopher was initially admitted at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe but was later referred to Kano for advanced treatment as her condition worsened. The cost of her care soon became too heavy for her and her family, leading to a public appeal for financial assistance.

Her case was brought to light by HrmFaith Samson Nkumsar, who shared her story on Facebook and requested ₦850,000 to support her treatment. The appeal drew attention to the urgency of her situation.

After coming across the post, Hon. Peter George acted immediately. He transferred ₦1,000,000 to assist with her treatment, exceeding the amount requested and ensuring that she could proceed with the urgent medical care needed.

The intervention has been widely described as timely and impactful, especially given the critical nature of her condition. It has also drawn commendation from residents, who see the gesture as a clear example of responsive and compassionate leadership.

For many in the Sardauna Local Government Area, this act stands out as a rare show of genuine concern by a public official. Observers note that such direct support not only addresses immediate needs but also strengthens public confidence in leadership.

Hon. Peter George’s action has provided not just financial relief, but renewed hope for Miss Believe Moses Christopher as she continues her treatment.
