Massive Crowd Receives Abel Peter Diah in Gembu as He Declares for House of Reps Seat

There was a massive turnout in Gembu town, Sardauna Local Government Area, as supporters, party faithful, and residents trooped out to receive the Member representing MbamgaConstituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Abel Peter Diah, as he officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna Federal Constituency.

The declaration, held at the APC Divisional Office in Gembu, attracted a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters who thronged the venue, chanting solidarity songs and displaying banners in support of his ambition.

Hon. Diah, who is contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said his decision to run for the federal legislative seat is driven by a commitment to deepen development across the three local government areas of Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna.

He described the constituency as one with vast cultural richness and untapped potential, stressing the need for focused representation that prioritises inclusive development, accountability, and grassroots engagement.

Addressing the cheering crowd, Diah expressed appreciation for the overwhelming show of support, saying it reaffirmed his belief in the shared vision for a better constituency.

“Our constituency deserves a representative who listens first, acts with integrity, and works tirelessly to deliver tangible results for every community,” he said.

He outlined his priorities to include rural infrastructure development, improved access to clean water, electricity, quality education, youth empowerment, and enhanced healthcare delivery across the federal constituency.

Diah also pledged to support policies that promote economic empowerment, small and medium enterprise growth, and job creation opportunities for youths and women.

On governance, he assured constituents of transparency, accountability, and regular engagement with communities to ensure their needs are reflected in legislative decisions.

The event was marked by jubilant scenes as supporters filled the venue and adjoining streets in Gembu, with many describing his declaration as a welcome development for the constituency.
