Group Showcases Engr. Sale Mamman, Endorses Him for Taraba Governorship

A political support group, APC Media Taraba State Chapter, has endorsed former Minister of Power, Engr. Sale Mamman, for the 2027 governorship election, describing him as a candidate with the character, experience, and vision to lead Taraba State.

The endorsement was announced in a statement signed by the Head of the group, Activist Yakubu Mohammed, who said the decision followed a careful review of the party's direction and the need to reposition the APC for victory in the state.

According to the group, Engr. Mamman's background reflects a life shaped by discipline, humility, and integrity. Born and raised in Taraba State, he was described as a quiet but determined individual who from an early age demonstrated a strong work ethic, earning the nickname "Buga-Buga" among peers for his industrious nature.

They noted that his early years were marked by respect for elders, peaceful disposition, and a strong sense of responsibility, traits they said have continued to define his leadership style in both public and private life.

On his educational journey, the group highlighted that Mamman obtained a Higher National Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering from Kaduna Polytechnic in 1988 and later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University Kano in 2015, combining technical expertise with managerial competence.

The statement further traced his professional career, noting that he began as a teacher at a Technical School in Mubi, Adamawa State, before transferring his services to Taraba State where he rose through the ranks in the Ministry of Works to the position of Assistant Director prior to his retirement in 2002.

"He is widely known for his discipline, methodical approach to work, and firm commitment to due process during his years in the civil service," the group stated.

Following his retirement, Mamman ventured into private business and later rose to national prominence when he served as Nigeria's Minister of Power between 2019 and 2021, where he was involved in policy decisions and reforms in the country's power sector.

The group acknowledged that like many public figures, Mamman's career has had its share of challenges, but maintained that his resilience, experience, and commitment to service remain key strengths.

They described him as a leader who values integrity, dialogue, and community development, adding that his compassion and ability to connect with ordinary people make him a suitable candidate for the governorship position.

"We believe Engr. Sale Mamman possesses the capacity to reposition Taraba State, strengthen governance, and deliver people-oriented development," the statement added.

The APC Media group pledged its loyalty and support to his aspiration, assuring that it would mobilize members and supporters across the state to ensure his emergence as the party's candidate in 2027.

The group also linked its endorsement to the broader goal of sustaining the "Renewed Hope Agenda" of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing optimism that Mamman's leadership would align with national development priorities.

It called on party members and stakeholders to unite behind his candidacy, stressing that cohesion within the party would be critical to securing electoral victory and advancing development in Taraba State.
