Northern Christian Religious Leaders Assembly Inaugurates Yorro LGA Executives

 

The Northern Christian Religious Leaders Assembly has inaugurated its Yorro Local Government executives at the United Methodist Church Kpantisawa.

 

The event, which took place in Yorro Local Government Area, brought together Christian leaders and members of the faith community to witness the formal inauguration of the local government leadership of the assembly.

 

Delivering his welcome address, the state chairman of the association in Yorro, Micah Philip Dopah, said the purpose of the organization is to bring Christians together in the spirit of love and unity in Christ to address challenges facing believers in Northern Nigeria.

 

He noted that the body also seeks to end marginalisation while promoting liberation, dignity and freedom for believers who are experiencing hardship.

 

Dopah explained that the assembly was not created to compete with other Christian organizations but to work in harmony with sister bodies such as the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Bible Society of Nigeria, as well as other Christian ministries committed to the spread of the Gospel.

 

Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the assembly, Johnpraise Daniel, said the association was established to unite Christians across Northern Nigeria and strengthen their collective voice for peace, justice and development in the region.

 

He added that despite the challenges facing believers in the North, the organization remains committed to promoting peace, love and progress among Christians and the wider society.

 

Also speaking, the Chairperson of Yorro Local Government Area, Marthina Anthony, commended the national leadership of the organization for selecting Yorro as the first local government area to inaugurate its executives, calling for continued unity, peace and progress within the Christian community.

 

In his vote of thanks, the newly inaugurated coordinator of the association, Likita Kwasau, expressed gratitude to God for the successful event and urged members of the executive to work together in humility and service for the growth and development of the organization.

 

The event ended with prayers for peace, safety and divine guidance, followed by fellowship and celebration among members of the Christian community.
