FOMWAN Distributes Clothing to 104 Orphaned Children in Jalingo
The Federation of Muslim Women's Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Taraba State chapter, has distributed clothing items to 104 orphaned children in Jalingo as part of efforts to support vulnerable members of the community.
The programme took place on Sunday at a mosque in Jalingo, where dozens of children gathered to benefit from the humanitarian initiative organised by the association.
Officials of the organisation said the gesture was aimed at providing relief to orphaned children while demonstrating compassion and solidarity with vulnerable groups in society.
Members and volunteers of the association coordinated the exercise to ensure that all registered beneficiaries received clothing items during the distribution.
Community members who witnessed the event commended the initiative, describing it as a meaningful intervention that would help improve the well-being of orphaned children in the state.
The programme concluded with prayers for the children and for continued support towards humanitarian and charitable activities within the community.
