An unprecedented infrastructural revolution under Taraba Governor Kefas By Josiah Sabo Kente

The recent flagging-off of multiple mega road projects across Taraba State by His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, represents a defining moment in the history of infrastructural development in our dear state. Never before has Taraba witnessed such a bold, coordinated, and geographically inclusive investment in critical infrastructure within such a short period.
The commencement of work on the Takum–Lissam Road, the long-awaited rehabilitation of Wukari township roads, and the strategic Wukari–Kente–Chinkai Road underscores a clear vision: to open up economic corridors, reconnect communities, and stimulate trade, agriculture, and social integration across Southern Taraba. These roads are not just asphalt and bridges; they are lifelines that will unlock productivity, reduce travel time, enhance security, and bring government closer to the people.
Equally historic is the total renovation of the Jalingo Specialist Hospital, a critical health institution that serves not only Taraba State but the wider North-East region. This intervention signals Governor Kefas's firm commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery, saving lives, and restoring dignity to public health facilities. A government that prioritizes health is a government that values its people.
The completion of legacy projects abandoned for decades further distinguishes this administration. The successful delivery of the Pamanga–Dakka Road, Yerima–Gassol Road, Mararaba Baissa–Abong Road (Phases I, II and III), Mararaba–Pantisawa Road, and extensive Jalingo township roads has erased long-standing bottlenecks that once hampered mobility and economic growth. These projects collectively represent an infrastructural footprint that is unprecedented in the annals of Taraba State.
What makes this revolution remarkable is not only the scale but the fairness of distribution. From Northern to Central and Southern Taraba, no zone has been left behind. This inclusive approach reflects a leader who governs with equity, foresight, and a deep understanding of Taraba's developmental needs.
As Tarabans, this moment calls for reflection and responsibility. Development is a process, not an event. The foundation laid by Dr. Agbu Kefas through these transformational projects must be consolidated, expanded, and sustained. That is why the people of Taraba State must rally behind him and grant him a second tenure to fully accomplish his Renewed Hope Agenda for Taraba State, in synergy with the national Renewed Hope vision of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Continuity is essential for consolidation. A second term will allow Governor Kefas to deepen these gains, complete ongoing projects, attract further investments, and institutionalize reforms that will secure Taraba's future for generations to come.
History will remember this period as the turning point when Taraba State decisively chose progress over stagnation, unity over division, and vision over short-term politics. The choice before us is clear: to sustain this momentum by standing firmly with Dr. Agbu Kefas and giving him the mandate to finish what he has so clearly and courageously begun.
