Tiv Community Resettled In Bali


In a bid to address security challenges in parts of Bali Local Government Area, the Kur Jibu, His Royal Highness, Abubakar Mamoud, has called for calm among members of the various tribes residing in the area.

 

The royal father also denied rumors of land grabbing, as he reiterated his commitment to ensure peaceful coexistence amongst the people of Bali and environs.

 

The Kur Jibu spoke at his palace, shortly after the handing over ceremony of land to Tiv settlers in Bunga B ward, of Bali local government area.

 

According to him, the resettling of the Tiv community has been a transparent process of which everyone involved is carried along.

 

Kur Jibu, also noted that the four hundred and thirty acers of land provided for the Tiv community include their resident and for farming purposes.

 

The royal father also commended the efforts of governor Agbu Kefas over the provision of mobility to his chiefdom, which according to him has ease the challenge of reaching his people.

 

The representative of the Tiv community who spoke to newsmen appreciated the gesture, and also called on the royal father to increase the land space in order to accommodate his people.
