Governor Ishaku's Body Guards Protest Non Payment Of Travel Allowance

Police officers attached to the conveyor of Taraba State Governor Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku have protested non payment of their travel and out of station allowances, Taraba Truth and Facts gathered.

The police officers numbering about 24 officers which includes personal body guards to the Governor were left disappointed after they were posted out of the Governor's security team 'because they complained.'

Taraba Truth and Facts gathered that the police officers whom had been with Governor Ishaku since 2015 were regularly under paid by the leader of governor's security team.
" The problem started when the Police officers in the governor's security details were not paid their allowances, other agencies in the team received their allowances in full and as at when due but the police officers accused the ADC to Governor Ishaku, SP Yakubu George of under paying them and most time not paying them their allowances.

"They summon courage to discuss the issue with the Governor last week and the Governor ordered a discreet probe into the matter but to our surprised the Police Officers were posted out of the Governor's team in a bid to deny them access to the governor," a government house source told Taraba Truth and Facts Newspaper.

The source added that the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Mr. Ibrahim Yaboro who the governor instructed to confirm what really transpired is yet to invite the affected police officers for questioning.

Another source in the picture said a new Body Guard team was formed by the ADC because he wasn't comfortable working the old team.

" It's more than allowances, the ADC with the Police Authority in Taraba State redeployed the officers to other beats. Only two were returned to the State Command but it has a lot of security implications, those team whom had worked perfectly with the Governor for more than  seven years would have gathered personal experiences on working with the Governor."
