Aliyu Jalo Leads Students Group to Bwacha Camp
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Gashaka State Assembly seat, Hon. Aliyu J. Jalo, has led a students and youth mobilisation group into the political camp of former Senator Emmanuel Bwacha ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The move followed a resolution meeting between Jalo and the convener of the group, Hon. Barrister Imamudeen Ibrahim Bawa, alongside members of the Late Hon. A.A. Gambo Mubarak Youth and Students Mobilisation.
At the meeting, the group formally declared its support for Bwacha’s governorship ambition, pledging to mobilise youths and students across Taraba State in backing of his candidacy.
As part of the realignment, the group also announced a change of name to Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha Youth and Students Mobilisation for Good Governance, reflecting its new political direction.
Speaking after the meeting, leaders of the group said the decision was driven by a shared vision for credible leadership, inclusive governance, and greater youth participation in politics.
They expressed readiness to work towards Bwacha’s emergence as governor in 2027, describing the alliance as a step toward strengthening grassroots mobilisation across the state.
The development is seen as part of ongoing political alignments and coalition-building ahead of the next election cycle in Taraba State.
