Mayo Sum-Sum School Lacks Teachers’


Government Day Secondary School, Mayo Sum-Sum in Sardauna Local Government Area lacks inadequate teaching staff and education materials, official said

 

The Principal of the school, George Adamu Isa said the major challenge affecting the school is lack of teachers for major subjects.

 

He said the school which has junior and senior classes have only four permanent teachers including the recent permenated rescued teachers.

 

The principal disclosed that the insufficient teachers in the school is affecting the smooth teaching and learning and appealed to the Government to deploy more staff to the school for effective performance.

 

He applauded Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for his plight in uplifting the standard of education in the state, adding that the provision of infrastructures as well as procurement of instructional materials to schools across the state were greater achievements made by the present administration in educational sector.

 

He also commended the commissioner Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Johannes Jigem for magnanimity in complementing the efforts of Governor in promoting the standard of education in the state.

 

The principal also lauded the confirmation of rescue teachers to the mainstream, adding that their confirmation would go a long way in boosting the quality of education in the state.
