Diplomat, Sanvala Shimbura is new Gara Donga

  

Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has approve the appointment of Prince Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura as the new Gara Donga.

A Statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Hassan Mijinyawa says the new Gara was selected after a careful selection process by the king makers of Donga traditional Council and ratified by the State Council of Chiefs in line with laid down procedure on the appointment of Chiefs and Emirs.

 

The Gara Suntai Chief Dauda Ifraimu Bobga described the appointment as deserving while commedning Governor Ishaku on his decision.   

 

Also the Southern Taraba Youth Coalition for Peace STYCOP) has  congratulated Prince Shimbura for his selection and appointment as the Gara of Donga.

 

Project Director, STYCOP Rikwense Muri said "may your ascension to the throne bring peace, unity and progress to people of Donga who throughout history has been known to be accommodative and tolerant of one another which has been the source of our unity in diversity in the Chiefdom. Your coming to throne in time of serious division and violent conflict in our communities calls for God's wisdom upon you like King Solomon to usher in an era of peaceful coexistence."
