‎Takum Kidnappers still holding Alhaji Mayo after N100m Ransom

Despite paying over N100M ransom, kidnappers in Takum Local Government are still holding businessman Alhaji Mayo abducted some months ago.

Alhaji Mayo, a businessman who deals in oil and gas was kidnapped over a month ago in Takum.‎

A Family friend said  N100 Million has been paid as ransom to the kidnappers who are still requesting for more money.
The Family source said the kidnappers have also collected two cars from the family as part of ransom for his release.
President of the Jukun Development Association of Nigeria JDAN Chief Bako Benjamin in a Facebook post said all the vehicles were delivered to the kidnappers along Takum - Chanchanji road.

Many residents particularly none natives left the town in droves over fear of being kidnapped.‎

Sources in the town said at least two people are kidnapped on a weekly basis with kidnapping gangs linked to local politicians in the town.
