Former Lawmaker Adamu Kwanchi Rejects Gov. Kefas Appointment
Former lawmaker representing Karim II State Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Kwanchi, has rejected his appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas.
In a statement dated June 11, 2026, Hon. Kwanchi expressed appreciation to the governor for considering him worthy of the appointment, describing the gesture as an honour.
He, however, declined the offer, citing personal reasons.
“I wish to use this medium to express my sincere appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and everyone involved for finding me worthy of appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor,” he said.
“While I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to serve, I wish to respectfully state that I can work for our great party, the APC, from any position. Being a committed party man means being dedicated to the success and progress of the party at all times.”
Hon. Kwanchi reiterated his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress, noting that his decision does not in any way affect his commitment to the party.
“I therefore express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and respectfully request to excuse myself from the said appointment due to personal reasons,” he added.
The former lawmaker also prayed for the continued success of the APC, the prosperity of Taraba State, and the progress of Nigeria.
Hon. Kwanchi served as a member of the Taraba State House of Assembly representing Karim II State Constituency before his latest political development.
