Kurmi Women Endorse Senator Haruna Manu for Second Term Ahead of 2027

Kurmi Women in Politics have declared their support for Senator Haruna Manu ahead of the 2027 general elections, endorsing him for a second term in office.
The endorsement was announced at a gathering led by Hon. Justina H. Hassan and Justina Jika Pativor, where participants emphasized unity and continuity in leadership.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Hassan commended the senator’s performance in office, citing projects and interventions she said had impacted lives across the constituency. She listed the connection of communities to the national grid, scholarship awards to students, facilitation of employment opportunities, and empowerment programmes as some of the key achievements recorded.
According to her, the initiatives have contributed to development in the area while improving the welfare of residents, particularly women and youths.
Also addressing the gathering, Pativor said the group’s decision was based on the senator’s track record and commitment to inclusive governance. She stressed the need for continuity to sustain ongoing development efforts.
The endorsement, observers say, signals growing political mobilisation in Kurmi as stakeholders begin to position ahead of the 2027 elections.
