Wurkum Youths Endorse Rep AM Lauya Re-Election Bid

The Wurkum Youths Political Network has endorsed the member representing Ardo-Kola, Lau and Karim Lamido Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Mohammed Lauya, as its preferred candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced in Jalingo following consultations among stakeholders and indigenes of the constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Comrade Ibrahim Bambur, described Lauya as a committed and visionary leader, noting that his track record in community development, youth empowerment and inclusive leadership sets him apart.

According to Bambur, the lawmaker understands the challenges facing the constituency and possesses the capacity to provide effective representation and attract meaningful development.

Also speaking, Hon. Rebecca John Karim called on other aspirants eyeing the seat to step aside, insisting that Lauyaremains the most suitable candidate to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.

In separate remarks, Hon. Sani Bature and Nasirudeen Albaniexpressed their support for the lawmaker, describing him as a principled leader who does not act based on sentiment.

They added that the constituency is witnessing a different style of leadership under Lauya, which they said should be sustained.

The event attracted participants from Ardo-Kola, Lau and Karim Lamido local government areas, a development observers say signals growing grassroots support for the lawmaker ahead of the 2027 polls.
