Sardauna Youths in Jalingo Endorse Abel Diah for Reps Seat
Youth from Sardauna Local Government Area residing in Jalingo have endorsed former Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah, as their preferred candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Gashaka, Sardauna and Kurmi Federal Constituency.
The endorsement event attracted a large turnout of youths from across the Mambilla Plateau, cutting across ethnic groups including Mambilla, Kaka, Fulani, Panso, Kambu, among others, reflecting unity and a shared political direction.
In a goodwill message, Hon. Abdulazeez Titong commended the youths for their unity and peaceful coexistence, expressing confidence that Diah would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
The event was attended by the Commissioner for Digital Economy and Innovation, Hon. Gideon Nonso Mbaso, as well as former commissioners including Hon. Johannes Jigem.
Also present were several advisers to the governor, among them Hon. Salamu, Hon. Abana Baduku, Hon. Yunusa Jibo, Hon. Rachel Jesse Mafang, Hon. Deborah Mathew Seben, Hon. Noah Kenneth, Hon. Kupchin Blessing, Hon. Chini, Hon. Nicolas Nordue Sankun, Hon. Nformi Desmond, Hon. Makielja Jugar, Hon. Philip Emmanuel, and Hon. Gebreal Sambo.
Addressing the gathering, Rt. Hon. Abel Diah urged his supporters to continue promoting unity, peace, and development across the constituency. He also called for sustained support for the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Diah highlighted ongoing federal and state interventions on the Mambilla Plateau, noting that developmental strides in the area are visible. He expressed optimism that the proposed Tropical University on the plateau would soon become operational through the efforts of the state government.
The endorsement is seen as part of early political alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections in the constituency.
