FedPoly Bali Matriculates 675 Students at 16th Ceremony

The Federal Polytechnic, Bali, in Taraba State has matriculated 675 students into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes during its 16th matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The ceremony, held at the institution’s library premises, marked the formal admission of the students and the commencement of the academic session.

In his remarks, the Rector, Dr. Mohammed Usman, who was represented by the Deputy Rector, Engr. Sani Isa Abubakar, congratulated the students on securing admission and welcomed them as bona fide members of the institution.

He reiterated the management’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and urged the students to remain disciplined, diligent, and focused on their studies.

The Rector also cautioned them against social vices such as examination malpractice, cultism, drug abuse, and all forms of extremism, while encouraging them to adhere strictly to the institution’s academic policies and students’ handbook.

Highlighting the academic vision of the polytechnic, Dr. Usman assured that the management and staff would continue to prioritise students’ welfare and academic success despite existing challenges.

In a goodwill message, the Kur-Jibu of Bali, His Royal Highness Alhaji Mahmud Adam, described matriculation as a critical step in the pursuit of knowledge and urged stakeholders to support students in achieving their academic goals.

He advised the matriculants to remain focused and committed, wishing them success in their academic journey.

The event featured a drama presentation by members of the Polytechnic Bali Play House, who highlighted the importance of polytechnic education in national development.

Awards of excellence were presented to outstanding students by the Jen S.U Foundation through its representative, Mr. Abdullahi Adamu Dodo, while some staff members were also recognised for their dedication and meritorious service.

Cultural troupes from different ethnic groups added colour to the ceremony with traditional performances, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the institution.

The event was attended by dignitaries including representatives of the Bali Local Government Chairman, traditional rulers, security personnel, members of the press, and residents of the Bali community.
