Danji SS Returns to APGA After Stints in APC, ADC

 

Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as DanjiSS, has officially returned to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) after resigning from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

 

In a statement addressed to the people of Taraba State, Shiddi said his decision followed "deep reflection" and wide consultations with political associates and stakeholders across the state.

 

He recalled that he formally resigned from the ADC on March 18, noting that the move was driven by his commitment to the progress and unity of Taraba State.

 

According to him, returning to APGA was a strategic decision aimed at advancing the collective aspirations of the people.

 

"It became clear that, in the best interest of our people and our collective aspirations, it was necessary to pitch our tent with APGA, the platform that first gave me the opportunity to represent you at the National Assembly for eight years," he said.

 

Shiddi described the move as more than a political shift, saying it represents a renewed push for "progressive leadership, people-centered governance, and sustainable development."

 

He called on his supporters and other stakeholders to join him in the party, urging unity among Tarabans.

 

"The time has come for us to rise above division and work together to rescue our state from stagnation and steer it toward a future of opportunity and prosperity," he stated.

 

The former lawmaker also assured that APGA remains open to all aspirants and individuals committed to the development of the state.

 

He thanked residents for their support following his resignation from the ADC, stressing that his loyalty remains with the people.

 

"My loyalty lies firmly with the people of Taraba State and with the principles of justice, accountability, and the rule of law," he added.

 

Shiddi served as a member of the House of Representatives for eight years before leaving office. His return to APGA is expected to reshape political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections in Taraba State.
