Kona PDP Youths, Women Reaffirm Loyalty to Obidah Bitrus

Youths and women of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the banner of the PDP Progressive Youths and Women Movement of Kona Ward have reaffirmed their loyalty to the Acting Chairman of the party in Taraba State, Hon. Comrade Obidah Bitrus, declaring their unwavering commitment to the PDP at the grassroots.

The group paid a solidarity visit to the Acting Chairman, describing themselves as the backbone of the party structure in Kona Ward and assuring the leadership of their continued resolve to defend and strengthen the PDP despite political challenges.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the leader said the visit was aimed at reassuring Hon. Bitrus of their support, stressing that the youths and women of Kona Ward have remained consistent and steadfast in the PDP. He said members of the movement are prepared to intensify mobilisation efforts to secure victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.


Responding, Hon. Comrade Obidah Bitrus expressed appreciation to the group for what he described as their courage, loyalty and sacrifices in sustaining the party at the grassroots. He assured them that their commitment would not be taken for granted.

The Acting Chairman said Kona Ward holds a special place in his political journey, describing it as his home and constituency of responsibility. He pledged to work for the collective interest of the people, insisting that his leadership would be inclusive and focused on unity and grassroots development.

Bitrus further assured the youths and women that the PDP remains strong and united, adding that the party is determined to move forward with renewed purpose as preparations for future electoral contests continue.
