Hon. Jafaru Yakubu Hails Gov. Kefas’ Strategic Defection

The Member representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jafaru Yakubu, has described the defection of Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategic, bold and consequential decision that holds immense promise for the future of the state.

In a congratulatory message made available to Taraba Truth and Fact Newspaper, Hon. Yakubu noted that Governor Kefas' decision transcends partisan considerations and reflects a clear, forward-looking commitment to accelerated development, stronger federal collaboration and inclusive governance.

According to the lawmaker, aligning Taraba State with the ruling party at the centre will unlock new opportunities for effective policy coordination, smoother execution of projects and faster delivery of critical infrastructure across the state.

"History has consistently shown that states working in synergy with the Federal Government enjoy enhanced access to resources, seamless implementation of federal initiatives and stronger support in strategic sectors," Hon. Yakubu stated.
