Wukari Royal Family Celebrates FCTA Director Mukhtar Usman Galadima on Retirement

The Bagya (Kuvyo) Royal Family of Wukari has paid glowing tribute to the Director of Development Control in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), TPL Mukhtar Usman Galadima, mni, as he retires after 35 years of public service.

In a statement signed by the Kinda-Kuvyo and District Head of Wukari, Manu Agyo Awudu Agbunshu, the royal family described Galadima as a distinguished son of the Kwararafa Kingdom whose career embodies integrity, courage and an unwavering commitment to national development.

Galadima, who rose through the ranks to become the longest-serving Director of Development Control in the history of the FCTA, is widely credited with safeguarding the Abuja Master Plan. His tenure was marked by firm enforcement against distortions, encroachments and violations across the Federal Capital, earning him a reputation as a principled administrator who did not bow to political or social pressure.

The statement noted that the orderliness and structural harmony seen in today's Abuja are enduring reflections of his professionalism and the support he received from the Honourable Minister of the FCT.

The Royal Family praised Galadima's courage and fairness, highlighting his consistent defence of the integrity of the capital city "without fear or favour, regardless of the status of those involved." His leadership style, described as humble and peace-driven, also drew commendations from traditional rulers and institutions across the country.

Beyond the civil service, Galadima was celebrated as a devoted family man who upheld unity within his household and maintained strong ties with the royal lineage of Bagya (Kuvyo).

"As he steps into a new phase of life, we pray for God's continued guidance, blessings and good health," the Kinda-Kuvyo said. "We are proud of his achievements, we honour his service, and we celebrate his legacy."
