Reps Member A.M Lauya Urges Peace, Distributes Relief Materials to Violence-Affected Communities in Karim Lamido

 

The member representing Ardo Kola, Karim Lamido, and Lau in the House of Representatives, Honourable Abdullahi Mohammed Lauya, has distributed relief materials worth millions of naira to the people of Karim Lamido, following the recent violence in the area.

The relief materials, according to the lawmaker, are a result of his plea to the National Assembly during plenary, and they are expected to be shared among the Munga Lelau, Munga Dosso, Bandawa, and Fulani communities as part of the lawmaker's initiative to bring succour to the affected communities.

While handing over the relief materials to the various representatives of the beneficiaries in Jimlari, the member commended the efforts of the Refugee Commission and the management of the National Emergency Management Agency for their swift response, while calling on the people to sustain the peaceful atmosphere currently enjoyed in the area.

He mandated the representatives to ensure that the relief materials are distributed to reach the people in their respective communities.

The lawmaker emphasized the need for the people of Karim Lamido and the entire state to follow in the steps of Governor Agbu Kefas' administration's effort in tackling insecurity through reconciliation and establishing a peaceful atmosphere across the state.

He noted that the constituency under his watch will ensure that the people get the dividends of democracy through shared commitment to fostering peace and unity.
