Taraba Finance Commissioner Extends Support to Primary Healthcare Centres in Jalingo

The Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Planning, Dr. Sarah Adi Enoch, has launched a medical outreach across several primary healthcare centres in Jalingo to strengthen healthcare delivery and support vulnerable patients.

The delegation, led by Suleiman Usman Nyaja, visited facilities including Danburam, Mafindi, Sabon Gari, Magami, and Kona Primary Healthcare Centres, where essential hospital equipment was distributed and financial support provided to patients in need.

Nyaja explained that the outreach was aimed at boosting under-resourced PHCs and providing assistance to less privileged patients who cannot afford medical care. He further disclosed that Dr. Enoch has extended similar interventions to schools, markets, and other community spaces in Taraba State.

Expressing their gratitude, the heads of the visited centres—Abdullahi Mohammed (Danburam), Muhammad Ibrahim (Mafindi), Mary Sansani (Sabon Gari), Ladabi Danlami (Kona), and Mary Balanko (Magami)—commended the Commissioner, describing her efforts as both proactive and compassionate.

According to them, the gesture will go a long way in strengthening the healthcare system and bringing relief to residents.

As part of the visit, the delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Galadima of Muri, Alhaji Tukur Abba Tukur, at his residence to seek his fatherly blessings.

In his response, the Galadima praised the Commissioner and her team for their commitment to improving community healthcare. He urged other stakeholders to emulate the initiative, noting that such interventions provide much-needed relief to the less privileged and contribute to the wellbeing of the wider community.
