Two Years of Impact: Hon. A.M. Lauya Transforming Karim Lamido, Ardo Kola, Lau Federal Constituency

In just two years at the National Assembly, Hon. A.M. Lauya, Member Representing Karim Lamido, Ardo Kola, and Lau Federal Constituency, has recorded outstanding achievements in infrastructural development, human capital empowerment, security enhancement, and humanitarian interventions.

Hon. Lauya's impactful representation has been felt across all wards of the three local governments under his constituency. From the provision of palliatives to the execution of major infrastructural projects, he has set a new benchmark for effective legislative representation in Taraba State.

Massive Palliative Distribution and Welfare Support

The lawmaker led several palliative programs targeted at alleviating the suffering of his constituents. Food items, water pumps, grinding machines, and farm implements were distributed across the three LGAs—Karim Lamido, Ardo Kola, and Lau—including special distributions during Ramadan and Christmas in 2024 and 2025. Religious leaders, party stakeholders, and residents all benefited.

He also partnered with humanitarian agencies like Beautiful Gates Foundation to provide 700 motorbikes and 600 crutches to physically challenged individuals, along with organizing empowerment programs for 80 women in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

Boosting Security Through Youth Recruitment

As part of efforts to address unemployment and bolster national security, Hon. Lauya facilitated the recruitment of 23 youths into the Nigerian Army and 5 others into the Nigeria Police Force. These young men and women were drawn from the three LGAs, ensuring balanced representation across the constituency.

Additionally, he secured employment for over 8 graduates and professionals into top federal agencies including the Federal Medical Centre, National Assembly, Federal Ministry of Education, and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Infrastructural Development and Community Projects

Hon. Lauya's tenure is marked by an impressive lineup of infrastructural initiatives. These include:

Solar Street Light Installations: Over 24 communities and institutions across the constituency now enjoy improved security and night-time economic activity due to the successful installation of solar street lights. Key locations include Sunkani, Abare A & B, Garin Dogo, Anjuddo, Bekle, and the Local Government Secretariats.

Educational Infrastructure: Construction of classrooms at Zailani Secondary School, Bikwin Ward, and the establishment of two JAMB CBT Centres in Mtun Daya and Mararaba Kunini are ongoing. A Civic Acquisition Centre and an Orphanage Primary School have been completed in Sunkani.

Roads and Water Infrastructure: Ongoing road projects include the Mararaba Kunini to Kunini Town Road, construction of culverts in Iware (Ardo Kola LGA), and a rural access road in Abbari (Lau LGA). Water projects such as the construction of boreholes in Taraba State University, and solar-powered tube wells for food security, are in progress.

Public Health Interventions: The supply of anti-snake venom drugs to Bambur General Hospital and the construction of student toilets in Taraba State University and the College of Agriculture show his commitment to public health and youth welfare.

Support for Education and Learning Materials

To complement educational infrastructure efforts of Governor Agbu Kefas, Hon. Lauya distributed exercise books, chalks, biros, and rulers to 47 primary schools across the federal constituency—providing essential teaching and learning materials to thousands of pupils.

Federal Government Grants and Borehole Repairs

In collaboration with federal agencies, Naira 50,000 grants were disbursed to 90 residents across the constituency to support small businesses and household needs.

Also, 23 boreholes have been repaired, ensuring access to potable water in rural communities such as Kakkala, Amiche, Kross, and Anjuddo in Karim Lamido LGA.

In just two years, Hon. A.M. Lauya has left an indelible mark across the Karim Lamido, Ardo Kola, and Lau Federal Constituency. His multidimensional approach—blending infrastructure, security, health, education, and humanitarian relief—has transformed lives and redefined effective representation in Nigeria's democracy.

As ongoing projects near completion, constituents look forward to more progress in the years ahead, firmly believing that they have not just a lawmaker, but a committed servant leader at the helm.
