Gov Kefas Acquires Multi-Million Naira Electricity Transformers


The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has commissioned newly acquired electricity transformers aimed at boosting power distribution across the state.

The commissioning ceremony was held at the Ministry of Energy and Economic Development in Jalingo, the state capital.

Speaking at the event, Governor Kefas reaffirmed his administration's commitment to revitalizing the energy sector to ensure more efficient and reliable electricity supply throughout Taraba. He expressed optimism that the state would soon host a functional hydroelectric power plant, a move that would mark a significant milestone toward energy self-sufficiency.

The Governor also emphasized the need for responsible usage and maintenance of the electrical equipment to maximize their lifespan and impact.

In her remarks, the Commissioner for Energy and Economic DevelopmentEngineer Naomi Agbu, said the newly procured transformers would help address power supply challenges in several communities, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents and supporting economic growth.
