Local Government Workers Hail Gov Kefas



Members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees NULGE, Taraba State chapter, led by the President, Comrade Bajison Wakili Damunga, have expressed their gratitude to Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas for his impactful policies and programs in the state.

The Union in a statement, highlighted the positive results of the governor's actions during their state delegate conference in January 2024.

They praised the governor Agbu Kefas for appointing one of their members as a commissioner, enrolling and paying pension staff, and releasing gratuities to local government pensioners.

The Union expressed appreciation for the governor's fulfillment of the long-awaited 30,000 naira national minimum wage and the approval of a 70,000 naira minimum wage, as well as the prompt payment of salaries to local government staff.

Although the Union says there was an erroneous in the computation of the new wages in local government system hence the authority concern consented and resolved to effect the correction positively as soon as possible.

They expressed hope that the relevant authorities would resolve the issue promptly for a positive outcome.

The union emphasized that these actions were a testament to the governor's commitment to the welfare of the people and commended his leadership in addressing critical issues affecting local government employees in the state.
