We Presented Best Candidates For LG Poll- Taraba APC Chairman

The state All Progressives Congress APC chairman, Barr. Ibrahim El-Sudi expressed that the APC candidates in the election are men of proven character and prudence who are out to help attract progressive ideas for the development of Taraba.

El-Sudi, who was represented by Hon. Fidelis Francis, the party state secretary, disclosed that the party internal crisis that caused the APC defeat in the last governorship election has been resolved.
According to him, the APC was fully ready to take Taraba away from the PDP at the local government level and prepare the ground for her victory in 2027.

"I want our supporters to defend their votes right at the polling units. All our supporters should be peaceful but resist any attempt to rig the election. We are prepared to win; all internal crises that made us lose in the last governorship election have been resolved, so we are confident that APC will emerge victorious in the exercise," he assured.

The party has however appealed to aspirants contesting the upcoming state local government election to embrace peaceful strategies for campaigning rather than violence.

Mr Solomon Jadana, the Zonal Vice Chairman of the APC Northern Zone, appealed while presenting the party flags to chairmanship candidates at the state party secretariat in Jalingo.

Jadana appealed that all aspirants should discourage the idea of supporters moving along with arms during the campaign, as the game was not war but all about the development of Nigerian society.

"We are prepared and confident of our candidates' victory in the election. Both TSIEC and the state government have assured us of a transparent exercise, so we are confident that the APC will win the majority of the seats.

"Politics is not war; I wish to discourage and appeal to all aspirants to discourage the idea of party supporters moving along with weapons during the campaign as if it were war. Politics is about development, and our party has resolved not to tolerate any form of violence in the name of politics.". The APC northern zonal vice chairman appealed.
