Munir Koffi Is Action Alliance, Court Orders INEC

The Federal High Court, sitting in Jalingo has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, to publish the name of Adamu Munir Koffi, as candidate of Action Alliance to contest for the forthcoming Jalingo, Yorro Zing by-election in the state.

The court had also mandated the Action Alliance, party to submit the name of the candidate to INEC for further actions.

While delivering his judgement, Justice, Salim M. Ibrahim, posited that the candidate had followed necessary procedure during the party's primary election, and won, which qualifies him to contest under the platform of the party.

While reacting to the judgement, the Council to the plaintiff, the Deputy Director General of Munir Kofi Campaign Organization Hon. Kamal Bagarmi expressed gratitude for the legal system's impartiality and commitment to justice. He commended the judiciary for being a last resort for a common man.

Kamal Bagarmi called on the electorate at the constituency to come out to vote Action Alliance candidate in the fouthcoming bye-election for Jalingo Yorro Zing Federal Constituency.


Meanwhile the Council to the Independent National Electoral Commission, stated that the Commission remains neutral and will follow the position of the judgment accordingly.
