Free Education: Parents Applaud Gov Kefas, As TSUBEB Distribute Learning Materials

The Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board has commenced  the distribution of learning materials to various schools under the board across the 16 LGAs of the State.

TSUBEB distributed some items, including learning materials worth millions of naira, to various schools across the state.

Parents who witness the distribution however commended Governor Agbu Kefas for the provision of free education describing the initiative as a valuable opportunity for children from financially disadvantaged families to benefit from democracy's dividend.

According to the parents, some of them have taken their children out of school but now many have sent their children back to school as a result of the development and thanked the Governor for the gesture.

Malam Kasimu Garba, Agnes Andrew, Isa Jauro, and Innocent Apollos, among other parents said that the commendation became necessary as the Kefas-led administration's gesture was a first of its kind in the state's history.

They said with the current economic hardships facing Nigerians, many parents are unable to afford education for their children due to financial constraints.

The parents urged all Tarabans to continue praying for Governor Agbu's success in his Moving Forward Agenda to transform the state.

Additionally, Malam Kasimu Garba, Agnes Andrew, Isa Jauro, and Innocent Apollos commended the Acting Chairperson of the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board, Mrs. Rabi Sunday, for her resilience and commitment towards actualizing Governor Kefas's transformation agenda in the education sector.

They referred to Mrs. Sunday as a woman of principles, integrity, and honesty, who is transparent and God-fearing in managing the board.
