Staff Seek Governor's Intervention On Promotion, Proper Placement At College of Education Zing

Some staff at the  College of Education Zing have raised their concerns over the non implementation of promotions and proper placement within the institution.

 

In an interview with Taraba Truth and Facts Correspondent, one of the staff members highlighted the critical condition of the promotion implementation system, attributing it to corruption and favoritism prevalent within the institution.

 

The staff members are calling on Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, to personally intervene and address the issue of implementation of promotion which has been a long-standing concern among the College of Education Zing.

 

Many employees have alleged that corruption and favoritism have hindered their career progression, causing substantial delays in their implementation of promotions.

Expressing frustration, another staff member said, "We have staff members who have spent more than three years without any promotion implementation. This is an alarming situation that requires immediate attention."

The staff said the prevalence of corruption and favoritism within the College has created a sense of discontent among the staff. "Lack of implementation of promotion have resulted in demoralization, decreased productivity, and compromised academic standards within the institution.

 

"We firmly believe that Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas holds the key to resolving these pressing concerns. We urged him to intervene in the implementation of promotions and proper placement from 2021 to 2023. They are seeking his support in eliminating corruption and favoritism within the College of Education Zing, ensuring that promotions are implemented based on merit.

 

"Governor Kefas, known for his commitment to transparency and good governance, has a proven track record of addressing similar concerns in other sectors. We remain hopeful that he will take decisive action to rectify the implementation of the promotion system at College of Education Zing to restore fairness, boost staff morale, and reestablish the institution's reputation for excellence."
